Information: The Republic of Cuba is located on the Isle of Cuba, in the Antilles. The Isle of Cuba is located between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic, south of Florida. It is the largest isle of the Antilles, with its 1600 small islands, the biggest being the Pine Island (Isle of Youth). The American own a military base in the South of the island, Guantanamo. Cuba is bordered by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The hilliest areas are located in the centre and at the edges of the island. The peak Turquino reaches 1,960 metres. The more than 200 rivers, the most important being the Rio Cauto, which flows on 250 km, provide Cuba with a large supply of drinking water.
