Information: The Republic of the Fiji Isalnds is an Oceanian country, on the east of Vanuatu, on the west of Tonga and on the south of Tuvalu. Fiji is made of 322 islands, of which a third is inhabited. The two major islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Viti Levu hosts the capital Suva and more than three quarters of the population lives there. Other major cities are Savusavu and Lautoka. The main international airport principal is located in Nadi (pronounced Nandi), on the western side of Viti Levu, on the opposite of Suva. Islands are rocky, with some peaks reacing 1,200 m and covered with tropical forests.
