Information: The Kingdom of Norway, (from Nordhrvegr, or "north way") is located in northern Europe to the west of Scandinavia. It shares its borders with Sweden Finland and Russia. Norway is also ruling over the Svalbard archipelago, the Isle of Jan Mayen and the Bouvet Isle. Its landscape is made of rugged mountains and glaciers. The highest point is Mount Galdhøpiggen, with 2469 metres. Norway is sometimes called "land of the midnight sun", because of its northern situation: part of the country is located to the north of the Arctic circle, where the sun never sets in summer and never rises in winter.
