Information: Senegal is located in Western Africa, to the south of Senegal River. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Mauritania to the north, Mali to the east and Guinea and Guinea Bissau to the south. Gambia forms an enclave in Senegal, 300 km deep into land (and separating Casamance from the rest of the country). The islands of Cap Verde are 560 km away from the Senegalese coast. Climate is tropical and dry with two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season.
