Information: Sri Lanka (Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka) is located in South Asia. Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean, 50 km from India. The two countries are separated by the Palk Bay but are practically bound together by the Adam bridge. Its former name was Ceylon.
