Information: Yemen is an Asian country, located in the Arabic peninsula, to the south of Saudi Arabia and bordered by the Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea and Oman. Its total area is 527 970 km². Yemen has 1906 km of seacoast. Jabal an Nabi Shu'ayb, 3760 m high, is the highest point. Climate is almost altogether arid. Very hot and wet along the west coast, temperate in the western mountains, which are influenced by the monsoons. The desert located to the east of the country is very hot and dry.
